European Parliament adopts the directive on data retention

14-12-2005: The European Parliament has adopted the directive on data retention. The amendments were approved by 387 votes in favour to 204 against with 29 abstentions. The final resolution was adopted by 378 votes in favour to 197 against with 30 abstentions.
